GLASTONBURY
GLASTONBURY SOCIETY
Glastonbury Society is a fellowship group of the retired men at St. Stephen’s.
Meetings
On the third Friday of each month, Glastonbury meets in the Parish Hall for lunch and a meeting, often with a presentation by someone in the community. “We are very flexible when it comes to an agenda — there IS none!”
Ministry and Service
They also participate in a variety of service activities both within the church and in the community at large. Our paper and can collection and recycling crew realizes almost $2000 per year for our various charities. From newspaper alone that represents over 20 tons a year! Income derived from this recycling program helps to fund a number of outreach programs, including: Ogden Hall Shelter, Basketball Camp, Camp Cross Scholarships, Holy Trinity Supper Program, Kinderchor (Children’s Choir), Cross Walk, Second Harvest Food Bank, Alzheimer’s Foundation of Spokane, Hospice of Spokane and the Episcopal Relief & Development organization (ERD).
