WOMEN IN MINISTRY (WIM) / EPISCOPAL CHURCHWOMEN (ECW)

The fire that ignites our passion and the waters of renewed life—these are the symbols of transformation we claim for the work of women’s ministries today.

We invite all the women of St. Stephen’s to join in this journey of transformation, to venture into the refining fire and the water of renewal and rebirth through our own work and life and ministry.

We do this as we:

Support groups within the church already engaged in this task, as they seek to be faithful to their call;

Plant seeds of imagination with others who may want to create new ways of working;

Support lay and ordained women in their vocational aspirations

In 2010 we:

—provided support for Basketball Camp and the Wine Tasting Event;

—Provided financial support to Sew ‘n Sow;

—Represented St. Stephen’s WIM/ECW at the Diocesan meeting in Spokane;

—Participated in our Ministry Fair;

—Coordinated All-Church Spring Rummage Sale;

—Sponsored a “Quiet Day” for women at the home of Dottie Leland;

—Hosted the annual Wassail Bowl and other receptions;

—Provided awareness and ingatherings for United  Thank Offering (UTO) and Church Periodical Club (CPC).

We continue to be part of the national ECW, which exists to support all women in their mission and ministry in the world.
