CHURCH LIBRARY

THE CHURCH LIBRARY

So many books, so little time to read them all!

St. Stephen’s library is located in a room at the southwest corner of the Parish Hall. It is always open for reading, browsing, and borrowing. It is time well spent to browse for a moment or two to glance at the various categories and the titles of the books. For example, Category I, History, has interesting titles such as The Jewish War, The Annals of Imperial Rome, and Jesus and the Riddle of the Dead Sea Scrolls. History buffs will love it!

Category VII is Fiction. Have you read (or re-read) Dear and Glorious Physician by Taylor Caldwell, The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, or Joshua by Joseph F. Girzone?

Checking books out is easy — you’re on your own. The instructions are just inside the door pasted to the end of the book case – on your left as you enter. To check out a book, remove the pocket card from the book and sign it, indicating that you have checked out that book. Then place the card in the small box that is located on the small table just outside the library.

The library is managed and kept up to date by parish volunteer JoAnne Elias. Thank you, JoAnne, and good reading!
