Who do I call?
For pastoral care questions, questions relating to worship, and information about participating more fully in the life of this parish: Contact one of the clergy (the Rector or the Deacons) by phone or e-mail. Call the church office and ask for one of the clergy, or e-mail them as follows:

  • Rev. Kristi Philip (kristip@spokanediocese.org)
  • OUR DEACONS
  • Ordained by the Church as one of three orders of ordained ministry, Deacons embody and invite others into a special ministry of servanthood.  They interpret the needs, cares and concerns of the world and bring those cares back to the congregation.  By empowering each member of the  congregation to share their gifts with others, helping  each to see the face of God in everyone, and working to find concrete ways to love others as God loves us, the Deacon’s role is to inspire distinct ministries, encourage creativity and support innovations that build relationships which will ultimately be pleasing to God.
  • Our Deacons (who are not compensated) assist in our Worship services and serve in so many ways, including calling on the sick.  They are instrumental in helping us in our Mission to gather, grow and serve. We’re fortunate to have two of them!
  • Charlie Jett has been ouir Deacon for many years.  Although he is now retired and lives most of the year in South Carolina, he and his wife, Jane, return “home”  every summer to rejoin their friends here and serve as Deacon in the Summer months.
  • Ellen Loposer, who was ordained in June 2010, is a long time member of St. Stephen’s.  We are delighted to have her serving as our Deacon.
