THE VESTRY
The overall ministry of the parish is the responsibility of the Rector, Wardens and Vestry. The Vestry is the elected board of the church. It sets the vision, the direction, and the policy for the church. Members of the Vestry are elected at the church’s Annual Meeting and serve terms of three years.
The Wardens are the leaders of the Vestry and serve with the Rector to coordinate the ministries of the parish. The Senior Warden is appointed by the Rector and so is commonly known as “the Rector’s Warden.” The Junior Warden is elected by the Vestry and so is known as “the people’s Warden” who is generally responsible for the building and grounds of the church.
The Vestry is eager to hear your ideas and concerns about our common life and ministry together. Members for 2010 are listed here, with the final year of their vestry term noted after each name.

Oct 30, 2008 –Hatch Road Study Draft Proposals
City Engineers have revealed plans for the Hatch Rd intersection with 57th at our location. Two propoals are on the table the first being a standard T-intersection, the other being installation of a roundabout to control traffic. Both proposals take property from us but the T-intersection has the lesser impact. The road way will be raised 4-5 feet to make the slope less at the intersection but requiring retaining walls along the roadway. Some issues to be considered are increased traffic noise, loss of access to lower level parking lot, snow removal, possible interference with our primary view, access impact to our primary entry point and other issues. The engineers say that this project is likely seven years in the future at a minimum.
Future vestries will want to keep current on the status of this project and carefully consider the impact to St. Stephen’s property in measuring value of the land to be taken.
